Zonta International

Founded in Buffalo, New York on November 8, 1919, Zonta has consultative status with UNESCO of the United Nations.


Today, Zonta International has grown into a global organization of more than 29,000 members in nearly 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 63 countries. In 2019, Zonta achieved a significant milestone by celebrating its centennial anniversary.

Zonta International is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.

Vision

Zonta International envisions a world in which women's rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.

Objects

Zonta Objects include the encouraging of ethical standards in business and professions, the improvement of legal, political, economic and professional status of women, community service, and the advocation of a spirit of good fellowship among Zontians.

Zonta Club of Hong Kong II

Established in 2002, Zonta Club of Hong Kong II is the sixth Zonta Club chartered in Hong Kong by Zonta International, under District 17, Area 2.


Our Club was established by women from a broad range of professions in the financial, medical, manufacturing, retail, legal, accounting, design, technology and real estate sectors.  


Membership is based on classification by business or profession. A member of Zonta (or "a Zontian") can be a professional, a proprietor, partner, corporate officer, manager, or employed executive, or who has worked for a reputable and recognized business. 


Membership is open to women and men who share Zonta International’s mission and vision.
